Design notes – Crossing

A balanced and approachable form, designed and crafted in New Zealand using complex CNC manufacturing methods. Organic junctions and considered angles each bring a natural quality to the frame – appearing more sculpted than assembled.

Each junction is sculpted from solid timber, using a blend of traditional techniques and complex manufacturing technology.

A solid timber backrest extends the full width of the chair, highlighting the timber grain.

A slight angling of the front and back legs brings a welcomed softness to the frame. While a simple, fixed seat cushion offers comfort and support.

A smaller footprint lounge chair, Crossing is available in a range of materials and finishes, with the option of an upholstered backrest for additional comfort.
