Founded in 1997, each piece of Woodwrights’ furniture is designed with purpose and passionately crafted by our team in New Zealand. We blend the best of traditional techniques and materials with exceptional craftsmanship, enhanced by today’s design and manufacturing technology.
HISTORY
With over twenty-five years of experience, Woodwrights has a rich history in furniture design and manufacturing. Located in Motueka, Woodwrights started as a small project, driven by Adrian Trewavas’ simple passion for furniture-making.
Today, Woodwrights remains family-owned and operated, with every piece of furniture crafted in our own factories. Our dedication to building positive relationships is matched by a commitment to responsive, personalised service.
SUSTAINABILITY
At Woodwrights, we are committed to responsible manufacturing. By controlling the entire process from design to delivery, we ensure sustainable practices both environmentally and socially. We partner with suppliers with environmental certifications in their respective fields and implement several sustainable initiatives throughout our factory, offices and showrooms.
Through careful forest management, the United States is growing more oak each year than it harvests, which assures us reliable, long-term supply of the finest hardwood in the world.
Each piece of A-Grade lumber is hand-selected for the best grain match and structural integrity. We maintain a close relationship with our suppliers, gathering valuable knowledge around working with these specific timbers.
Every piece of furniture is crafted by our skilled furniture makers here in New Zealand using premium quality manufacturing methods, with all off cuts upcycled into small components to further ensure minimal waste.
