Guided by a deep respect for land and people, our furniture is a celebration of place. What sets us apart is our intentional approach to design, materiality, experience and delivery. Each stage is considered, offering our clients a personalised and tailored journey.

HISTORY & PLACE

A second generation family-business founded in 1997, we have a rich history in furniture design and manufacturing. Our work is shaped by generational knowledge, craft and skill. We build on the expertise of our artisans whose deep understanding of materials has been refined and passed down over time.

Each Woodwrights piece is crafted with passion in our own full-scale timber and upholstery factories in New Zealand.

Our home and the surrounding areas provide a landscape for creativity and exploration with materiality, form and design direction shaped by its origins.

We curate a range of recommended materials for our furniture, to help guide your decision making. We base our selections on the unique design details and manufacturing methods of each piece. You can also specify and supply your own fabric if you wish.
