Last Thursday, we joined our neighbours Forté for In Good Company. Bringing together Natasha Markham (MAUD), Nat Cheshire (Cheshire Architects) and Lance Herbst (Herbst Architects) to talk about authenticity in design, and what natural materials, honest craftsmanship and a little imperfection are resonating now.

At the foot of a volcanic cone in Takapuna, Manurere House steps down towards Pupukemoana, the lake glimpsed through a canopy of pōhutukawa. The home takes the traditional gable and reshapes it into something sculptural.

Our Grey Lynn showroom shifts into a softer composition, layered with new fabrics, finishes and pieces designed to shape a space and gather character over time. 

An honest material, solid timber develops a natural patina in response to its environment – temperature, light, humidity and wear.

As part of our Kindred Collection, we asked photographer and friend of the brand Jono Parker to curate his favourite shots from our recent shoot together in Tasman. 

We enjoyed collaborating with Jono on this collection shoot and hosting him in our workshops.

Mid-June in Copenhagen is something special, as the city comes to life with design exhibitions, activations and events for the annual 3daysofdesign. We enjoyed watching the city bike past, the delicate roses climbing the buildings and walks along the canal.
