Here at Woodwrights, we believe in keeping it local. Each piece of furniture in our range is designed by New Zealand designers and handcrafted in our factories in the South Island’s Motueka. We personally deliver each piece ensuring that it arrives in the same excellent condition in which it left.

Blending the best of traditional techniques and specialist craftsmanship, enhanced with up-to-the-minute manufacturing technology, we create robust pieces that last through generations.

Hand-selected timber
This begins with our timber, which is prime grade and hand-selected for the best grain match and structural integrity. Hardwood dowels are combined with high quality adhesives for uncompromised strength. Each component is then hand-sanded and undergoes a six-stage polishing process, enhancing the wood’s natural beauty and ensuring a luxuriously smooth finish that retains optimum durability and timber stain absorption.

The finer details
Then it’s on to the finely crafted details, which go all the way to our felt-lined top drawers, smooth closing runners, hand turned legs and dove-tailed solid drawers. The end result is a range of timeless, solid furniture pieces to last well into the future.
