At Woodwrights, selecting materials is a thoughtful and collaborative process. We take time and care to ensure that our choices are functional, enduring and sustainable, while bringing a natural beauty to our designs. The prospect of refining our offering is always an exciting one, and we are pleased to have recently added a new selection of leathers to our library.
All of our leathers have been carefully selected from Sørensen’s extensive range of high-quality, sustainable leathers. A family business, Sørensen Leather have over 45 years of industry knowledge and expertise. With in-depth production standards and a variety of industry certifications, Sørensen offer a unique, and expansive range of products.
The crafting process begins with the sourcing of raw hides; natural by-products of the meat and dairy industries. Each hide goes through a comprehensive series of quality checks and is upcycled through the tanning process. The result is durable, refined leather crafted to endure years to come.
With qualities similar to timber, through careful care and maintenance, leather becomes more beautiful over time, revealing its natural patina. It’s these subtleties that draw us to leather as a material. Beyond its aesthetic quality, the texture and feel make Sørensen’s leathers a pleasure to work with in the factory.
